French films in Nashville

At Ciné Club, AFN members* meet the first Sunday afternoon of the month to watch French-language films from a variety of genres. All films are shown in French with English subtitles unless otherwise indicated.

Those attending the screening should arrive by 2:45 pm; the film begins promptly at 3:00.

Please be aware that the doors to our building are locked on Sundays. Call the AFN Resource Center at 615-269-4590 upon arrival to be let into the building.

Our August 13, film is:

Chinese Puzzle (French: Casse-tête chinois) is a French comedy-drama film written and directed by Cédric Klapisch and released in 2013. It is the third chapter of the Spanish Apartment trilogy, after L'Auberge Espagnole (2002) and Les Poupées russes (Russian Dolls, 2005).

Xavier is now forty years old and divorced from Wendy. When she decides to move to New York with their two children, he wants to remain part of their lives and so moves to the city as well.
