French Scholarships

For French teachers and students, we offer two scholarships for long term study in France.

Nina Walls Scholarship

Imagine living and learning in one of France’s most interesting cities.

The Nina Walls Scholarship, which is made possible by the Alliance Française Cultural & Educational Fund, Inc. enables recipients to attend a month-long summer study session at Alliance Française de Lyon, in France, and to live with a French family there. One of the major purposes of the Nina Walls Scholarship is to give Middle Tennessee French teachers the opportunity to absorb French culture while improving their fluency in the language.

The annual scholarship pays for the tuition for the courses at AF de Lyon, room, and half board with a family in Lyon, and contributes toward $1,500 for airfare.
